We recently held a Celebration of Life at The Riverside and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From our very first enquiry through to the event itself, the level of service, kindness, and care shown by Jo was truly exemplary. The room and grounds were beautiful, the afternoon tea buffet was excellent, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere helped transform what could have been a very sad occasion into a memorable and uplifting celebration. Our sincere thanks to Jo and the entire team.

A fantastic experience from start to finish. The venue was lovely and clean, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the food was of an excellent standard. Everything was organised very well, making the whole event completely stress-free, and there was plenty of parking available on site. Highly recommended.

After visiting Riverside to find a venue for my late father’s celebration of his life. I knew it was the right place.
It’s situated in the most beautiful water meadow venue in Harnham with spectacular views of constable county and our beautiful Salisbury cathedral across the river Avon in the distance.
Even on a winter’s day the magnificent garden lawn rolled down to the sparkling river that meandered through and down past the cathedral gate and away through Salisbury.
Riverside is an elegant county house with a completely contemporary twist. It’s still full of old wonder and design but has a clean spacious and modern feel, perfect for a special occasion where nothing is to much trouble from Jo our wonderful events organiser to Ryan our bar staff to all staff members who made sure every thing was first class.
From a breakfast all ready and waiting for us after my father’s ashes where reunited with my mother’s In the morning. 
To the memorial at 2 pm  all set for 80 guests in the large garden room with doors that open onto a marvellous terrace overlooking the river and gardens.

A arrangement of beautifully prepared sandwiches and scrumptious assortment of cakes. Fresh filtered coffee and hot frothy milk and speciality tea provided with jugs of fruit non-alcoholic punch and a bar all available throughout the afternoon with waitress and staff attending at all times.
The large room was beautifully set out, warm and welcoming, staff had helped by providing easels and help when I set up my memory corner of photos spanning the years.
The facilities are exceptional at Riverside and I can fully recommend this venue to look after your every need. 
Oh and you can stay before and after any occasion in the beautiful rooms provided. 
Large carpark and disabled spaces available, all very much appreciated by my friends and family. 

We had my father’s wake at Riverside recently. Jo was a pleasure to deal with, making the difficult time much easier to handle. Jo and her team were fab on the day, especially handling the parking of the many, many attendees. We would wholly recommend them for such an occasion.

We booked The Riverside as a venue for a very special surprise 60th birthday party. From start to finish Jo and her team couldn’t have been more amazing – I felt completely at ease, and nothing was too much trouble. I knew I was in capable hands, which took huge amounts of party-planning stress away! Most importantly, the wonderful team helped us to pull off a perfect, fun-filled evening. The beautiful backdrop made it even more special, and the buffet food was the best we’ve had! Some of our guests stayed for multiple nights; they thoroughly enjoyed their stay(s) in every way. We’ll definitely be back and I would 100% recommend as a venue for events. Special thank you to Jo and the rest of the team at The Riverside!

I just wanted to write to congratulate The Riverside for the such a lovely experience we had in the Garden Room and on the terrace this week. The surroundings and also the service we received were second to none and it certainly helped us get through what was a sad but uplifting celebration of my sister’s life.

Nothing was too much for Jo. She went above and beyond and was a delight to deal with. The Riverside should be proud to have her on the team! She went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect for such an important event and it was just that. Jo even managed to lay on a beautiful sunny day for us too! It meant that we could make full use of the terrace with those stunning views. On behalf of the family and friends who joined us, thank you for a beautiful and unforgettable experience.
